TEAM:
Owned by the Bosman family in Wellington, they have a superb winemaker on their team by way of Natasha Williams. Natasha worked as an assistant winemaker with Corlea Fourie at the Bosman Family Vineyards in Wellington and considers her a mentor who taught her about business as well as how to make beautiful wine. Natasha spent some time in California working at Merry Edwards Winery, a women run winery which gave her great inspiration and hands-on experience.
Karen Bruwer is the project manager responsible for Bosman Hermanus and Lindy de Kock is the tasting room manager.
LOCATION:
Heading up the R320 through the Hemel-en-Aarde valley, the Bosman Family Vineyards Hermanus farm is along the De Bos dam turnoff on the Karwyderskraal road. The tasting room (The Frame House) is smack-bang in the middle of beautiful fynbos hiking trails. There are 50 hectares of vines which have been seamlessly integrated into the natural fynbos that covers 180 hectares of the farm. As part of the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley appellation their wine reflects the unique terroir of the area that is renowned for excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, to mention just two of the varietals that they produce.
